Focusing on 14- 24 year olds in the Llanelli area, the Foothold Cymru Environmental school project will provide opportunities to learn practical skills, training and leadership opportunities in horticulture, agri-food and environmental sustainability.
Participants will learn horticulture/growing skills, biodiversity management, habitat restoration, and conservation techniques.
This project located at the Foothold Cymru Community Garden at the Foothold Enterprise Park will have access to a polytunnel, pond, bug hotels, raised beds, orchard, outdoor kitchen, alongside this training space.
This initiative contributes to climate action, biodiversity improvement, and sustainable food production, while creating pathways into green jobs.
