The end of year awards event was, without a doubt, a fantastic afternoon. Representatives from Secondary schools and associated external agencies tuned up as well as parents, friends, grandparents and board members to celebrate the success of our young people.
We also had some special guests arrive to present the young people’s certificates, Rupert Moon (Ex Wales scrum half and currently works for WRW construction) Marie Turke from Incredible Edible Carmarthenshire and Paul Pugh from Paul’s Pledge. Cam Nicholl, Digital Accessibility Centre bought and presented the young people with gift cards to reward them for all of their hard work.
Sometimes you just need to change a person’s environment for them to realise how talented they truly are. Our young people grew so much during their time on the project, learning self-respect and self-worth, realising that they can go on to achieve whatever they set their minds to.
They have been an absolute pleasure to work with and most definitely made our teams jobs worth doing.
